Are there plans to bring person detection like "Nest-Aware" to the Arlo line of products? I chose an Arlo-Q because I wanted a decent "Basic" experience (i.e. $0 per month), but if I'm going to upgrade to a $100 a year subscription there's really no comparison between what Nest provides and what Arlo provides.

To answer my own question - it looks like I just need to wait for "Arlo Smart" (https://community.netgear.com/t5/Arlo-Knowledge-Base/What-is-Arlo-Smart-and-how-do-I-benefit-from-it...). Looking forward to it!
