Hi -

Can any one tell me how the network traffic works when live streaming from a camera on the same network as the viewing client? In other words, I know the client has to phone home to Netgear to authenticate and pick up a list of cameras, but once live stream starts, is the client getting data directly from the camera, or is the camera bouncing the stream off a Netgear server back down to the client?

Thanks for any information.

Arlo Q, current firmware as of yesterday.

If you are live streaming ( except for the Arlo Baby ) IIRR, all the video feed goes to the SERVER and then BACK to you to view

The Arlo Baby is the only one that feeds to a device on the same wifi network at the same time feed gets sent upstream.
