I just purchased the Arlo system that comes with 4 indoor/outdoor cameras and 2 inddor only (Arlo Q) cameras. My indoor/outdoor cameras synced up no problem, but neither of the Arlo Q’s are syncing. I tried resetting to factory settings (even though they are brand spanking new) and still nothing. Any other suggestions? I did NOT plug it into the base as the instructions specifically said not to...Maybe I’m supposed to?????

First, you understand that the Q cameras use your home WiFi, right? Do you have your own WiFi? If so, you use your phone that's connected to your home WiFi or a computer to perform the setup. The app will attempt to choose the WiFi the camera should connect to or manually input the SSID of it. Type in the passphrase. Press the sync button on the camera until the LED starts blinking blue. Keep clicking Continue until you see the QR code displayed and show it to the camera. It should chime after a short time and the process will continue.
All of this is the same as in the instructions as well as the Add Device interface. You never try to invoke the base station. If this is what you've been trying, tell us what you are doing and what you see/hear, in detail.

Give us details. Have you tried the camera reset yet by pressing the reset button until the LED flashes amber? You're using a device that's on the same network as the one the Q should be connecting to? Is this for the 2.4 or 5GHz band? If you're using a mobile device, is it connected to the same SSID?

Hello all,
When I brought the Arlo Q into the room where our router is located, I was able to sync both of them. I then unplugged them and moved them to different spots in the house and had no problems whatsoever. Hope this helps!

Bring the Arlo Q into the room where your router is located. This worked for me.

That may pointto some 2.4GHz interference. Keep an eye on the quality of the recordings for glitches.
