The blue/orange light on my Arlo q started flashing multiple times a day. Do you really update your firmware that many times or is this a problem? This began about a week ago and before that I had never seen that light come on.

It may not be an update, but a low signal warning for wifi...  there is another thread on this. ( there has been only one update on the Q recently )

 

The flashing is the colors you state, 'kind of' purple looking
