Hi I just purchased the arlo wire free vms 3000 and wanting to add the arlo Q cameras because they record 24/7 to what i have read. just wanting to know if i have to change my base hub to run them

The Arlo Q works directly with your wifi and does not connect through the base station, so you are set to go.

Also reading those are for indoor would I be better off with the arlo pro or arlo pro² for outside 24/7 use.

Unlike the wireless cameras, the Q detects motion through g;ass so using it indoors but looking through a window works fine.
Also, 24/7 recording requires the CVR subscription.
