Arlo q won't connect to wifi

These cameras are not reliable. They go offline and you cannot reconnect unless you are physically there. What's the point if you cannot reconnect long-distance? I wish Arlo support can provide an answer. If not, do not buy.

Mine stays connected for years at a time. There are various reasons for them disconnecting but we need to know more.

 

Connecting for setup has recently had issues due to new routers using a single SSID for both the 2.4 and 5GHz bands. Using a different SSID for each band works. I've also found that 5GHz WiFi that uses the upper channels (those with 3 digits) may need to reduce the speed to a medium speed setting to connect. Or just use the 2.4GHz connection.
