One of my Arlo Qs just got this firmware... does anyone know what's changed?

Curious also. I eventually gave up with Support on blurry motion, they replaced the camera, no fix. Hoping maybe after almost a year they finally did something to fix the firmware.

bcleaver,

Notes on this firmware release can be found here: Release Notes - Arlo Q/Q+ FW 1.8.3.1_13001 - 14th August 2017

It appears we lost geofencing, can anyone else confirm?

Geo fencing never worked for me - I have a Windows 10 Mobile device :).

@JamesCI've never gone through an Arlo Q firmware update before - is it released to all devices in one shot, or is the update staged? My other Arlo Q has yet to receive the firmware update even after a couple of forced reboots, waiting overnight, etc.

Summizing my own answer from observations - my second Arlo Q received the update overnight so I'm assuming it's a staged roll out.

Dude, you really gonna pass off "bug fixes & security improvements" as release notes?

Why do you bother posting release notes at all if this is what you post?

  • Bug Fixes
  • Security improvements
