Arlo Q firmware uodate won't take and can't view camera

Soon as I took this unit out of the box and completed the set-up, I could view the camera fo ra shirt while before the camera view was obscured by a message saying "A firmware update is avaiable for your device".  However, when I click the update button to download the Mar 23, 2016 firmware, the unit appears to be loading the firmware but after 5-10 minutes gives me the same message and prevents me from viewing the camera. 

I tried restarting the device but still no luck.  Any advice?

Try a factory reset using the hidden button on the side.

I'm having the same problem. The firmware update won't load and I can't view the camera. I don't see a hidden button on the side of the camera, how do I reset it?

Check your manual for the location of the various controls on the camera. The reset button is like virtually any other reset button - a small hole that you can use a paper clip or similar to push a recessed button inside.
