Arlo Q detection area won't limit motion pickup.

With the detection area drawn to limit motion pickup area it doesn't change -the whole screen still picks up motion . What do I do ?

Reboot the Q ( hold reset for abou ten secs, front led will flash)'.  Bring the cam back as if new

I tried this twice with much effort to get it to reconnect . It did not work . I disarm it because to many emails . I'm frustrated the amount of time I've spent trying to get s basic function to work.

It sounds like you didn't use the zones in your modes and rules. Once you configure your zones in Settings, go to the Modes tab, click on your Q and edit any modes you use there. In the rule u der video settings is where you would select whether to use the whole scene or just specific zones. Be sure to save your changes.
