Arlo Q can I use additional magets without harm to camera

I know that there is a magnet in the camera base.  I'd like to hold it to the side of a wood cabinet by placing a really strong magnet on the inside of the cabinet-rather than drilling into the cabinet.  Will this strong magnet do any harm/damage to the camera?

If your placing a magnet ( opposite pole ) on the inside of the wood to attract the magnet in the base, I don't think there would be an issue ( as the magnet inside prob has a stronger field to the internals than the outside due to proximity )

 

Only really one way to find out  🙂
