Hi, I need some help.

I have 2 Arlo Q operational; one at my parents place and one in the backyard.

Since I changed my password, the one in my backyard is offline.

I followed the steps Add new device - select Arlo device - WiFi - Continue - enter WiFi p/w - (blinking orange light) - sync button - QR shown.

Then something odd happens: the chime is heard faintly and 2 secs later the Arlo makes a short buzzing sound. This happens despite how fast I hit the button 'I heard the chime'.

From that moment on it starts searching for my camera, which seem to go on and on.

After minutes it says it can't find it.

What is the buzzing sound? It never did that before, it sounds like something isn't in order.

I read other users with similar sounds, but no specific answers were given.

I tried factory resetting the Arlo, several times too. Even for a whole minute, as suggested in another post.

I even used a screenshot of the QR to present it as big and bright as possible.

Nothing works.

The online virtual help keeps repeating it doesn't understand what I'm asking about with this buzzing sound and filing a support request keeps popping up with malfunctions, no help so to speak.

Arlo support, can you please help me (and others with the same problem) out on this one please?

I think you just have a dead camera. If trying a different power supply doesn't help, you can continue through the chatbot to get a person to chat with or use the phone call instead.

Oh no.

The remarkable thing is the led works as wel as the chime (although very soft) is heard.

I've tried disconnecting power supply for a minute and reconnect, but that doesn't seem to be the clue.

I'll try the bot once again.

In the meanwhile: if somebody understands the short moment of buzzing after showing the QR, I think that will explain why the thing isn't working.
