are you able to download a portion of the CVR recording ?
with nest, i was able to download a clip or make a timelapse from the CVR record. so i was wondering if there is something similar that i am not aware of with arlo Q

Not directly. You can stream via CVR and use a screen capture software package to record the display. I've done that a few times very successfully. Use full screen for best results.

thanks for the suggestion - if this is not one of the ehnacment that will becoming, it probably should. At least to keep up with the competition ( Nest). i shouldn't be using a 3rd software to do it

Since I edit photographs and some video, I have various packages installed. One of them is Roxio Creator NXT 3 and I use the screen capture utility that's part of the package. I haven't researched other software but a Google of "windows video capture software" brings up various possibilities as well as this potentially interesting link:

If you have W10 installed, it may be worth a try.
