Hello I have installed 2 Arlo q pls. I bought two additional Arlo wire free cameras (without the base station) as I had understood that you can just add the cameras without needing the base station?

When I tried to add the cameras it is asking me how I would like to connect and gave me two options - base station or nighthawk router. I can't go the first option and don't understand what is a nighthawk router.

Please help!

Thanks in advance.

Yes you'll need a base station. I have arlo q plus with the arlo cameras and base station. the wireless cameras only work with the standard base or the arlo pro station.

Sorry, but your info is wrong....

Arlo and Arlo Pro cameras ONLY work and connect to a base.

In the past they did hook to a 7000 router from Netgear, but that SW was dropped
