Arlo Q Plus color goes to black and white

I keep the "DAY"  setting on 24/7 and there are lights around the building and parking lot.  Recently, at night, when car headlights lit the camera, color goes to black and white.  Is there anything I can do to keep color on at night?  Customer service did not have an answer.

If the light level as determined by the cam falls too much it will automatically switch to B&W. It's by design.
