I have been reading manuals all afternoon, and not being a guru on Power over Ethernet, I don't really get an answer to my simple question, "So if I plug a regular ethernet cable into the back of my Nighthawk X4 AC2350 aka R7500v2 router and connect it to an Arlo Q plus, will it power the camera and work?

Does the video signal go through the ethernet cable directly?

If I just get an Arlo Q and supply it with power, will it be able to send high quality video over WIFI if an iPhone in the planned location will connect with the R7500v2, but is sometimes a bit slow surfing the Internet?

Is the Arlo Pro more powerful in transmitting over WIFI from my above-mentioned iPhone-tested location?

Thanks,

A "regular" Ethernet cable may well be an issue.  The cable must be capable of PoE as well as the router.

The video definitely is carried via the cable regardless of the PoE issue.

The difference of Ethernet vs. WiFi is nil.  The same data is sent regardless of the connection.

The iPhone has no play in the connection.  It's siply a display device.
