I am new to the Arlo community and was looking for a way for notifications on my iPhone that are different from normal notifications.  One concern I had was getting notifications to wake me up when I am asleep and also something that would alert me during the day.  I was looking through the communities here on this subject and see that most of the topics have been closed.  I wanted to share with the community what I have started using that works well.

I started looking into IFTTT and discovered that I could get Arlo to send a notification by calling my phone.  This will only work with US-based phones.

Using IFTT is fairly easy.  Basically, you need to create an account at IFTTT. Next,  create what is called an applet for each device (camera). (Yes, you need to do this for each camera you want a notification from; I have eight). Once you  have created the applets  Arlo will call your cell phone when a notification is triggered.  The number that calls you is consistent, so you can add that number to your favorites so when your phone is in do not disturb mode it still works.  I also have a very loud and unique ringtone selected so I know it is an Arlo notification.  The only drawback I have found is that it is not instant and there could be a one-two minute delay with the phone call, but at least it works. Notice -- be prepared to get notifications from anything (animals) that may trigger a notification.  If you do, adjust the motion sensitivity.

Hope this helps with iPhone notifications.  Please let me know if you have any questions.

Good luck!
