The only info in the app is the cryptic "H3" under Device Info. (Under Device Info for the Base Station it says "VMB4000r3" -- so that is good.)

Yes, I did find the answer about the black vs white border -- if you go outdoors in the dark and look at the camera <smile>.

Look at the image of the camera in Settings, My Devices, your cameras. You can see the white or black ring around the front plate there.
