camera gone bad?

Do the cameras go bad? I have one that only records 3-5 minutes and the camera goes "off line". I don't get a message saying your batteries are tired. The camera seems to be eating batteries.

Eating batteries and going offline would seem to be a potential WiFi connection issue between the camera and base. This can be due to blockage (walls, mirrors, ductwork, home construction, etc.) or 2.4GHz interference from other wireless devices (likely close to the camera since it seems to only affect one).

Try swapping cameras around to see if the problem stays with the camera or location.

Thanks, but we've had the system for 2 years and this just 
started happening. We switched one camera that was 
recording a lot to a room that only records once in a 
while. Put new batteries in it and they were dead in 2 
days after only recording a couple of times.

What kind (brand) of batteries are you using in the camera?

The camera's connect to your base station, not your router, so the distance between the camera and base station could be why your camera is having an issue staying connected. You might try locating it closer to the base station or locating the base station closer to the camera to further isolate the issue.
