I have an Arlo Pro camera set up monitoring the front door. It was set at the default 80 sensitivity.

It detected motion when I left the house and started recording as it should. But then it continued recording for 20 minutes and drained the entire battery. I viewed the video and there was no one in the video after the first 10 seconds.

Does the motion sensitivity increase after the video recording has started? Because otherwise, it should have been recording even before I left the house, if sensitivity was the issue.

I don't think sensitivity is the issue. Go to the bottom of the page and click Contact Support and open a support ticket. Presumably you're using the "record until activity stops" option

Recording for 20 minutes is wrong but wouldn't drain the battery. Something else is going on here. STart by removing the camera from Settings, My Devices and reinsert the camera battery. Resync the camera and test again.  If still an issue, swap at the store or open a case with support as suggested above.

Thanks for the replies. Yes, it was on the default "record until activity stops" setting.

I did swap out another battery, and it seems to be working properly now (~10 second clips after motion trigger).

Maybe it was a temporary glitch. If it happens again, I'll open a support ticket.
