What to use to clean the magnetic mounts? Tried using Dawn liquid.

Does anyone know what to use to clean the magnetic mounts? We forgot and left one outside and it has dirt on it. I tried to clean it with Dawn liquid, but it still has a dirty gummy-like surface to it. Now I'm worried the camera will fall off.

I've had some that have gotten pretty grungy but had no issue with using them. Note that the newer magnetic mounts that started with the Pro cameras have a rubber-ish coating that helps prevent the heavier cameras from unintentional rotation. For the most part don't sweat it. If OCD, maybe some Simple Green and a soaking is needed.
