What kind of USB Cable (special config?) do I need to connect my Base station to my PC?  Can I leave it permanently connected?  Is there a procedure somewhere that address3es this feature and how to go about recording locally?  Many Thanks!

Dave

You can only connect an external hard drive or flash drive to those usb ports for local backups.

You can't use a USB cable to connect the base to the PC....

The base station connects via ethernet cable only to the router or switch to access the internet.

Local recording is bu using the usb port on the Pro base to a usb hard drive ( or a thumb drive , etc )
