I’ve been on holiday where the Arlo base station and cameras were working fine sending notifications and recording clips etc.
Noticed we hadn’t got anything for a day so checked in on the Arlo and it was offline.
I’ve arrived home, the middle led is amber. I’ve done all suggested fixes and nothing worked.
Did a factory reset and led is still amber and the app cannot detect the base station.

My wife mentioned that the app on her phone has been asking for a firmware update but mine hasn’t.

We are out of warranty and don’t have a paid subscription so can’t talk or email anyone from Arlo.
Also in New Zealand.

I’ve searched through the community posted and seen several issues similar to mine.

Can anyone suggest another fix?

Cheers

So after doing everything and it still not working I decided to just buy a new smart hub. Upon trying to set it up I also wouldn’t connect.

We have eero routers and previous to buying the new smart hub I had looked through the app to see if there was something in there stopping it from connected but couldn’t see anything.
Decided to have another look after the smart hub wouldn’t disconnect. I turned of the advanced security in the eero app and what do you know. The smart hub connects.
Tried the old base station and it also connects.

O well found the problem and got a smart hub out of it.

A solid amber internet LED on the base station indicates no internet available. Have you tried power cycling the modem router?
Have you tried removing all arlo devices from your account including the base station. This will be required before a factory reset of the base station should be made.
The update request on partners phone app is likely just the arlo app newest version notification.

We have eero routers. I’ve reset the network using the eero app. I will do a power cycle with the routers and see how I get on there.

Yes the devices have all been removed from the Arlo app.

If you have access to the router web interface you should be able to identify if the base station appears in your device listings. You will need to power cycle the base station again if has not shown up. That should prove the base station is recognised by the router. If so try using the arlo web portal on pc to add the base and cameras back.

I guess the next thing to consider is who turned on the feature in the eero router? And if it stays disabled after a power cycle.
