What is the input voltage regulator on the VMB4000?

 

I know it comes with a 12v power supply.

 

However most devices immediately take that and regulate it down internally.

 

What IC is used in the VMB4000?

Don't have any idea as Arlo doesn't supply schematics ( and I haven't taken one apart )

 but if I was going to guess, I'd say 5v out

I'm not interested in what the voltage is internally.

 

I am looking for the input voltage range.

 

I can't ask for this directly as, well, nobody at Netgear or the forums will just give a straight answer, so I have to ask in a roundabout way.  If someone can identify the internal regulator IC(s) I can figure it out for myself.

You want to know what regulator chip (if any) in the base - open it up and check. That's the onlyway you're going to get an answer.
