Somewhere I read that you can use a second base station to extend range. I can't remember where I saw this.

Can someone explain how this works? I have a spare base station.

Does the second one have to be connected to a router as well? I assume so.

BTW, this works by being able to position the two bases so the cameras attached to each base has good signal.  It's not like using a second base somehow extends the first base's signal.

Yes. Both need to be connected to the internet via ethernet. The second base could be connected via a wifi range extender if you don't have prewired ethernet connections

Factory reset the second base = turn on the power, wait for things to go green. Hold the reset button in with a paper clip etc until the LEDs go amber. Wait for it to restart. Go into your app and click "Add device" and choose a base station

Great! Thanks for the info. I figured that was the case.

Thanks again.
