Using an external hard drive to capture recordings?

Can i set My external Hard Drive to RECORD CONTINUOUS?  I know on my system at work i can set up to record on Alarm to my cameras SD and to the NAS it records continuous.

No, Arlo doesn't support continuous recording other than via the CVR option.
