Tips on connecting Arlo pro 4

I have struggled for 2 days to connect two cameras that lost the wifi connection. I thought it was a battery issue as batteries kept saying 38% even after fully charged. I spoke to Arlo support many hours several times. I finally got them to connect! Things I did that finally worked:
1. Go to your router app and pause 5g bandwidth as pro 4 only connects on 2.4 g band.
2. go to phone settings and forget your network, and manually log in with wifi user name and password.
If first name of wifi name is capitalized you must capitalize it when you are prompted on app to put in your wifi info. Usually passwords are case sensitive but so was the user name. It must match how your phones wifi shows.
3. Follow all the steps on app to add a camera.
4. when scanning QR code, you must hold camera above code but no closer than 4”. Too close and it fails.
5. Do all of this right next to router. With slower bandwidth it has trouble finding signal and needs to be close to your router.
6. Be patient as it took few minutes to connect at the very last step when it was looking for available camera.
Hope this helps. I almost gave up. The tech support people did!
