I want to set up a camera at our cabin near Flagstaff and monitor it from Phoenix.  At the cabin there is no cable or phone connection only Verizon Hotspot.  What specific equipment and services that are needed to connect a camera that utilizes the Verizon hotspot signal that can be monitored on my phone or computer in Phoenix?  Thanks

If the hotspot doesn't have an Ethernet port you'll also need a WiFi extender that does have one. The base will plug into that to access the Internet. You may need to upgrade your data plan to support the camera usage depending on how many videos are recorded as well as how much live viewing you do.

Don’t understand, hotspot is a place not a device, other than the wifi extender where does the other end of cable plug into? Sounds like a device is missing.

You would need an internet access device....be it a mobile hotspot or extender that you can hook into the local wifi access.

From you description, it sound like verizon service is available as an access only.

you would need an access point that works with Verizon; mobile hotspot or LTE modem

The device would need an ethernet port to plug the Arlo base unit into or an additional wifi extender with a port ( that would use the wifi from the mobile hotspot )

Other option is an Arlo GO ( camera with celluar built in ) with a verzion data plan.... depends on how much viewing is done as to cost for plan.
