Some but not all videos will not play in browser, must download to view.

Happens when using Chrome or Edge Chormium.

My question is why some videos and not all or others? Tx, Curt

If they are 1080p, then one possibility is that there is something corrupted at the beginning of the video.

If  you send  me a private message with a download link to one of them, I can take a look.  You'd use the envelope icon in the upper right of the forum page.

  • Arlo doesn't use flash anymore, so that clearly isn't relevant.
  • Javascript is used everywhere, so it is almost certainly turned on already.
  • It is useful to keep Chrome up to date, but generally it will do that itself.

When videos don't play then the usual reasons are

  1. the browser doesn't support HEVC - used for 2K and 4K.  Only Edge supports those.
  2. the computer hardware doesn't support 2K or 4K (only relevant with edge)
  3. something is damaged in the beginning of the video, and the browser can't figure out what the video actually is

Since this is a Pro2 camera, option 3 is the relevant one in that list.  It uses 1080p AVC, and all browsers can play that.
