Hope my post benefits to fellow folks residing in Singapore and are considering Arlo as an option for cameras.

I purchased Arlo Pro Cameras (4), Base station, VMB4500 for S$1260.  The quality of the cameras and the recorded videos are of an excellent quality to start with.

However, should you face a complicated technical issue similar to mine then you are going to be facing few challenges before it could be resolved or worst it may not.  I always face the same technical issue every time i recontract broadband with local service provider.  Upon renewal, i would be asked to upgrade the router and Wifi settings will be changed.  First experience was back in 2020 where issues with Base Station started surfacing.  In 2020,  It started to blink orange, and even with the trouble shooting steps that Arlo support takes you through over few hours, it was not resolved.  They then bumped me off to the service provider for ports to be opened and even with the simple and quick fix then Arlo was still not able to troubleshoot.  And i should mention that i have to stay up late at night as the support covers US time zone.  Finally with escalation, someone in China, contacted me and explained that it could be the firmware update issue and took me through the steps where it got resolved.

Faced the same issue, in beginning of 2024 where WIFI setting were changed and again same cycle of numerous calls and hours spent late night on Troubleshooting.  Finally I was told, please go to point of sales.  I gave up at this point and asked the agent to send me an email that they have exhausted all trouble shooting efforts and i now would have to bring my case to point of sales.  With that, she is escalating my issue the third time before they could send me the final email.

Sharing My experience to those in Singapore so that you are aware of the after sales support quality.

I am close to discarding my cameras and move to other options.  Sharing this experience to

FWIW, I always set up a new router to use the same network name and password that the old router used.  That makes migrating to a new router much simpler.

But that shouldn't be necessary with the Pro 3, since the cameras connect do the base, and the base connects to your router with ethernet.  So your home network wifi isn't used at all.

Did support suggest removing the equipment from your account, and then doing a hardware reset of the base and cameras?  After that you'd add the base and cameras back.
