Since the app update, my cameras only work when I'm home.

I have a two camera setup on the 7 day free cloud storage plan, using Arlo Pro cameras. About a month ago, I was "upgraded" to a free 30 day trial of paid service, and the app updated and looks different. Since the trial ended, I now have my 7 day free cloud storage back, but my system only works when I'm home. If I leave, I get no notifications, and there are no recordings.
In the app, I have no routines set up. The cameras are set to record and notify under Armed Home, Armed Away, and Standby. No matter where I am, the system stays on whatever I have it set to. It doesn't change. For example, if I set it to Armed Away, it stays there whether I am home or away.
I get perfect operation when I'm home, but as soon as I leave, I get nothing. I can still view a live stream from the cameras, but I don't get any recordings or notifications. I have even set my location services on my phone to Not Allowed, so I don't even know how Arlo knows whether I'm home or not.
What do I do? Arlo chat support wont help me because they're Pro cameras and I don't pay for a subscription.

When you return, are there ever any saved recordings from when you were away?

No. It works as it should when I'm home, but doesn't work at all when I'm away.

You might try uninstalling/reinstalling the app on your phone.
You could also try putting the phone in airplane mode before you leave for a short trip, and see if that prevents the unwanted behavior.
