I wired my base station to a WiFi extender. My camera is issuing 1m away but the app reports final strength is weak. Why?

If everything is good when you hook the base up to your router, the first suspect is the extender. Is this a wired extender, or a repeater (gets signal by wifi from router)? Some repeaters are notoriously lossy. Not sure how deep you want to go into this, but you can check what speed and signal strength you are getting out of the access point on this extender by downloading something like WiFi Analyzer on a laptop, and hooking it up to the extender access point to see what kind of signal output you are getting.
