We just installed a new set of Arlo Pro cameras yesterday. One thing I have noticed so far, especially with our front door camera, is that someone will walk up to the door and the recording won't start until the people have already walked up to the door or are already out of the view of the camera. So basically I have the camera pointing at the front walk and the front door. Someone will walk up the front walk, but the camera doesn't cut on until they are already halfway through the cameras field of view. So I end up getting a video of a pair of legs walking into my house and that's it. How do I get the video to start sooner?

Motion detection works best with motion across the FOV, not directly at it. Positioning is key so trial and error may be needed. Possibly positioning the camera to pick up subjects as they leave is a better alternative to trying to get them approaching.
