Plastic attachment on Arlo Wire-free Camera

My Arlo Camera came with a large plastic attachment that looks like a screw. I tried unscrewing it but it appears to be screwed very tight or cannot be removed. As seen in the picture below, it prevent the camera from attaching to the magnetic mount.

 

Does anyone if I can remove it or if it has any purpose? The instruction manual makes no mention of this.

It simply holds the cameras to the packaging. They do unscrew.
