No color videos VMB8400

Well, a new problem has arisen. 

In the library the videos show a thumbnail in color but when I play them, they start in color then go to "grey out". Some times they are "grey out"  in the thumbnail as well. The attachment shows both.

Any ideas why this is happening?

Ambient light levels cause the cameras to switch between color and B&W. Increasing the ambient light or relocating the camera would be the solution.

In your specific case, it might be switching to nightvision because of the chair.  It looks like it is blocking the light going to the light sensor (which is usually to the left of the lens opening when facing the camera).

FWIW, I have no idea what the VMB8400 in your title refers to.  There is no VMB8400 base station.
