I have an Arlo Pro system. I have it installed and configured and working. When I try to add a friend (my wife, with permissions granted) either thru the Arlo dashboard in my browser or on my Android phone, the email that is sent to my wife does not contain the registration link like it's supposed to, just a button to CREATE NEW ACCOUNT. When she creates a new account, it cannot find my up and running base station. If I understand correctly, that is because the Arlo Pro can only support 1 account, my existing account, not her new account too. So the only way she can see the cameras on her iphone is to log in using MY credentials which causes a security code verification to be sent to MY phone.
I have applied all the upgrades to both the cameras and the base station and restarted everything. Still doesn't work. What am I doing wrong?

I deleted the invite I had sent to my wife, deleted all the cameras from MY base/account, replaced a dead battery in one camera and updated it's firmware, re-added them all, verified all cameras worked on MY account, then resent the invite to my wife (she had already created an account that wasn't showing any devices). Now she sees all the cameras under HER account and the invite shows as Accepted. Maybe the dead camera or its stale firmware caused the issue? Who knows.... now it works.
Thanks for the help!

You have to give permission for the cameras to share. She doesn't need to see the base or add the cams. She just needs to click on the link to create an account. She won't be able to see base local storage if thats your concern.

I did give permissions to all the cameras. I did everything the FAQ said to do. But the email she gets when I invite her does not contain the link that would register her onto my existing account it only gives her the option to create a new account. When she creates a new account, she cannot "find" the base or cameras I already have (I assume because they're already registered on MY account. And in my dashboard she still shows as "Pending". It appears like that missing link is equivalent to an "Accept".

Hi uxorious69,
Try having the grant access user accept the link through the computer instead of through her mobile device and see if that helps.

I've tried all combinations of me-to-my-wife registration: Mobile - Mobile, Mobile-iPad browser, Win10 Chrome-Mobile and Win10Chrome to iPad. The email that gets generated by the app (or webserver) doesn't contain a registration link, it only contains a button "Create Account". It simply won't let me add her my account. I found a youtube video that shows what the email is supposed to look like and my email looks like the one in the video EXCEPT is missing the link with the registration token.
I've tried sending her an invitation with just one camera granted, with all cameras granted, with just the base granted, etc. I've tried sending it from the mobile app and from the Arlo dashboard in-browser. None works.
Is there another way I can her to my account?

Have you tried mobile to Win10 Chrome? Click on create account, and I think you should be able to log in to my.arlo.com instead of creating the account.

She can click "Create Account" and log in from that screen but she has to log in with MY credentials. The trouble with that is then the verification code comes to MY phone not hers. Maybe I'm just misunderstanding the functionality - I presumed that I, the "account owner" could invite my wife to become a member of that same account AND that would allow her to create her own username/password, and have login verification sent to HER phone. Am I mistaken? Does she need to create a SEPARATE account for herself? If so, when she tries that, she cannot add our existing cameras to her new account, they don't appear when she selects "Add Device" (yes they're up and running and I "see" them on my phone). As a programmer myself, it seems to me that those are the two options 1) an account can have multiple users (me, my wife) or 2) the same device can belong to multiple accounts (my cameras can be on both my account and my wife's account). Is there another option I'm ignoring?

She needs to create her own account (with her own email address and password). She can't add the cameras to her account, because they are already in yours. But if you've shared them, she should see them.

Another option (which is what Arlo does) is that a device can belong to one account, but then be shared with other accounts.
