Is there a way to turn off the red lights that display thru the camera lens at night when night vision is activated?  I am seeking a "silent" no-light indicator night vision mode.

Yes, in Settings, My Devices, your camera is a Night Vision setting. Turning it off only turns off the IR illuminators so you'd need external lighting to see what's being recorded.
