I turned on my phone this morning and clicked on the Arlo App to find it had completely changed. I have been hearing about it, and they said for now there will not be modes. Unless they just added it, you just click on Routines, and all the modes are still there and work great. It seems like a better App and also, to my surprise, the response time has greatly improved. I hope it stays that way, so I'm liking the new App.

FYI, the complaint has been about custom modes which some folks use to expand their options. That is still being rolled out. Otherwise, your observation is correct.

you must be one of the lucky ones. The new app is much slower and has many features most people don't need. Next to this 1/5 shared accounts is not wrokign anymore, tried just about everything (rebooting, reinstalling, new account, etc... nothing works...)

You're certainly in the minority on here.

Notice that the complaints aren't from folks that have always had the new UI. And the number of complaints from folks who have migrated are fairly small compared to the number of folks who started with the old UI.

I've been on the new UI for a few years now and, while I've certainly had issues, it's not as bad as some folks like to claim. Yup, it's a different mindset and takes some time to get used to it (just as it did when first using the old UI - check the slew of posts from the mid-20-teens here that we had to help folks with).

Since the new UI isn't going away, it may be time to get over it.

@jguerdat I don't think so. Also look at the comments on Google Play and others, people moaning about the UI. Are you also aware of what the competition does? Things have moved on in this area and competition does more.

With the green UI, there were no issues, or only occasional ones. I don't know what they do to the blue UI, but I've not had a week when things worked as they should - there is always something: tiles this, feed that, firmware something.

You can't even see in the feed which videos you've watched, not to mention that swiping is, and has been, back to front. You can't select videos in the feed by date/time. Customising your system is severely limited.

I do like the colour of the blue UI, though.
