Wasserstein or Netgear, here is a profitable and simple solution to the outdoor charging need and inability for cameras to function much less charge in sub zero temps:

Design and manufacture an enclosure for true outdoor weather. A small box that doesn’t have to be sealed, just protected from the top and rear sides, that is open in the front and padded with a small heating pad similar to below.

The entire enclosure would have a sealed AC power cable on the outside and a short mini USB cable on the inside that goes directly to the camera, and splits off to power the heating pad. This “box” would be about 4 inches long and perhaps 2 inches wide that fits the camera snug, whilst having the same thread hole in the back so that it would mount on the standard Arlo mount.

A fancy option would be the heating pad would only trigger on when temps drop below “X” degrees.

Heck, if I didn’t have my hands full and needed a project, I’d make them myself with a 3D printer and using the heat pad below (sold on Amazon two for $10).

And while we are at it, add a small auxiliary IR Illuminator light on the top of it to better light up the night vision ($10 on Amazon)
