I just get fed up with all the stupid symptoms I get when trying to use my Arlo Pro system.

It doesn't work right, never really has.

When I go to the page to access the cams, it will NEVER let me just open the page and sign in.... It wants me to sign in with my password every time, and it has issues with opening the website before I even get there.. sometimes taking up to 30 seconds to make it past the Arlo splash screen.

I have everything on my PC set up to open with saved passwords so I don't have to manually enter them... But Arlo?  Nah... When I first got them, everything was fine... but at some point fairly recently they changed how their website works and it is a true pain in the ass...

And this isn't even to mention the constant problems with staying functional.... This is as bad as the stupid internet providers wanting to make you restart the routers, modems and your PC just to reset everything.  And then, even after a reset, the issue persists... It is the damned modem, the firmware, the changes they keep making to it, and the jealous insistence that the customer not be able to control anything.  THIS is exactly why I hate systems like this where every aspect of how it operates is dependent on proprietary software that has kindergarten level access for the consumer to use it.

This is a constant struggle to use the cams effectively... as problems arise daily.  Whether I sign in on my phone, and try to view cams only to get a message that the base station is not connected, Or I sign in on my PC and try to view cams only to see a message that the 'request timed out'.... It is BS.

It is really hard to justify putting my faith in a cam system that is extremely unreliable and has a mind of its own... If there were a real emergency, and I needed to access my cams right away, I would just be left wanting.  And if I wanted to start the siren, That also is unreliable... Press the button to activate it, and it never comes on.... Until I restart the base station. So I am having to restart the base station constantly to resolve BS issues, and it only lasts until the next time I have a problem which is often only hours.

I don't understand the reasoning behind having to do extensive troubleshooting for a system that is designed to be grade-school simple to operate. Sure, a restart seems to always fix the issue, but after signing back onto the Arlo site, Their own interface causes problems almost as soon as it comes back online.  When I have 3 solid green lights on my base station, and everything looks fine, there should be some measure of reliability.  Instead of allowing the customer to be able to use the cam system and access it directly, the consumer is forced to access the system ONLY through the website or through their buggy app, which will not stay connected and function properly as advertised.

I hate purchasing a system like this at an extremely inflated price and then find out that its capability is extremely limited and worthless for what I need it for.

It is sickening to have to wait and wonder what is happening at my home while I sit helplessly watching the app tell me my base station is offline.

I have extremely reliable internet service, Cable internet, which only very rarely, almost always late at night, has to be restarted to reconnect.  So I am certain the issue is with the faulty design of the cam system, and not my PC, My ISP, or my modem.....

This system is definitely not worth the premium price one has to pay for it to own it.

This purchase was definitely a mistake, and I would not buy any additions to upgrade it.  I want a system that will connect me to my cams directly while allowing me to just access the cams through my router, instead of requiring me to go through a buggy website or an app to use it.  As always, the big tech companies retain all the control and functionality access, while the consumer is held hostage and is helpless when seconds count..  If I want to stop a burglary or something, I still have to run  home and restart the router to see what is going on.... It is a complete waste of time...

Arlo cams suck, and I will never buy another one...

PS... All this unreliability and design flaws notwithstanding.. Most times when I am having an issue with accessing the cams remotely.... waiting a half-hour to an hour will almost always work it out and the system will become accessible on its own, WITHOUT a restart.... But how does that help me when seconds matter.?... If I get a notification of something moving at home then cant access the cams, I am left extremely agitated....
