I'm researching a mobile camera solution that can multitask between Marine / Boat / Trailer / Car / Automobile for the purpose of both launching a large boat (approx. 30 feet or more) from a trailer and parking the boat at the dock or navigating the boat through marina channels.

In any case, there would NOT be an Internet connection and the solution would need to rely on 12 volt power or be inverted to 110 volt AC.

There would be either a mobile screen or tablet that can receive the live video. Recorded video would not be a requirement for the backup / reverse navigation or steering. The live video stream would be required to be relatively real time.

What kind of real time delay of the video stream is expected in the best case scenario of an premium Arlo camera system?

Can the premium Arlo camera products operate without an Internet connection for the sole purpose of a live video stream to a tablet or smartphone or other HDMI display?

What concerns might there be about the Arlo camera technology either regarding motion sensing or streaming that would affect using an Arlo product for a streaming live video camera for reverse or backup steering in a marine or mobile solution?

Without the Internet connection, can Arlo still be used for live video streaming to a table or smartphone assuming its base station is still powered up?

The Arlo product range main call to action is movement based cloud recording requiring an internet connection except for the Arlo Go which works on cellular data. The Pro works via  a base and the Q directly via your wifi connection. In all instances your phone or tablet would need a wifi connection in order to access the cameras or the recordings.

This and the lag would not make this suitable for your application.

I would look at one of the bluetooth or wifi to smartphone solutions.
