Is there a way to make the push to talk louder?

I'm new and had some one install most of it.
When I push the mic on my phone and speak I can hardly hear from the camera. But lol, if I'm just talking I can hear a big delay back to me in my phone.
Is there away to speed up the delays from camera to phone?
And Is there away to make camera louder?
If someone is breaking in, I'd like them to think i was home when talking in mic!!!!
Hope there's a resolution for this.
