Is there a way to constantly view a live feed?

Is there a way to constantly view a live feed? I purchased this for my father and he would like to continuously watch a live feed but it turns itself off after like 20 minutes. Also, this may be a silly question but does he have to hit the record button to continuously record or will it just record when motion is detected? (I have it set to record motion). Thanks.

Live view is menat/designed to time out at about 30 mins...nothing you can do.

This is set as many run on batteries and in case it was forgotten on the batteries wouldn't be depleated.

If you have ARMED the cameras for motion AND go to LIVE VIEW, you are over-riding the armed command to record on motion...SO you must manually strart a record session in this case
