If we keep the camera on, battery does not last for more than 2 weeks

  1. If we keep the camera on ( video and audio), I find the battery probably can just last for no more than 2 weeks ( I tested it, about 9% of battery for 24 hrs ). Can any one please have this solution ? Because we would like to place one on the entrance door when we are on vacation .

Placing the camera on an entrance door would invite theft of the camera and it would be difficult to keep the power up, I installed my cameras under the eaves of my house, pointing more toward the door and used an Arlo solar panel to power it. They are installed about 10 feet up so it would be difficult to steal.

If used as designed, with "Motion detect on and then record"... the camera should last more than 2 weeks.

Mine run almost 4 months and should see at least 3 if false triggers are not present all the time.

 

You can, if possible, swap with another camera and see if the issue follows the troubled camera.

 

Normally , I say plug the camera in but the outdoor ac adapter was recalled
