I'm even more sick and tired of the enforced 1/2-hour log out.

 

When are these going to be fixed?

I'm sorry, I don't understand what you're asking.  The problem isn't fixed and I'm not sure what you're suggesting.

How do we get this fixed?  It worked great when many of us bought the product 5+ years ago, then the company got sold and they broke nearly everything.  This and the fact that my browser logs me out after 1/2 hour are the two biggest problems I have with this product.

 

The support desk is completely useless.  How do we get these changes reverted?

 

How do we communicate with the people who make the decisions on the products?  I know nothing from these forums makes it to the product design team, but do they really not give a crap what their users want?  I really think that's the case here.

The time out after 30 minutes and browser re-authentication are both deliberate design decisions for security reasons. These features cannot be adjusted. I will pass your feedback on this along to the development team for consideration.

I understand they are deliberate decisions which were imposed on us well after many of us bought the cameras.  Both of these design changes are an absolutely unnecessary imposition in most cases.   They only serve to frustrate, not protect.  The result is that many of us recommend strongly against anyone buying these products. 

 

Thank you for passing it along.  Is there a better mechanism for providing feedback which will be reviewed?  Trying to get it done through this forum isn't an efficient process, and the helpdesk is pretty worthless.
