Our home was pre wired for exterior security camera's (power lines and Ethernet). Sounds ridiculous to by wireless cameras in the first place but I would at least want to bypass battery recharging and use the black/red wires to permanently power the units.

The Pro cameras have an ac adapter with them to plug into the wall outlet
You can pull the battery or leave it in either way tho the battery pack will function if a power outage

Thanks for the info. But the pre wire is not an outlet so I can't plug in the camera using the ac adaptor. I'd hate to modify anything on the units and void any warranty - plus even if I converted the panel to an outlet I just wouldn't want that look on a exterior security system. I like their platform but looks like I might have to go with another system.
