So I just bought a standard outside Arlo and I was surprised that live streaming is not a valible option for my grandparents. They're often bored so it kept disconnecting on them.
So, I was reading Pro can use the charger minus the batteries plus an extension? Their outlet is about 15ft away. What is the best way to go about this so they can live stream most of the day? I thought about just sticking the standard Arlo on the backyard and replacing the front door with pro. Thank you.

Yes, the Pro can be run off of only the adapter and power cord ( actually only needs a regular USB adapter if the battery is out / 5v about 1.5a )
Biggest problem is power runs of small gauge wires can lead to voltage drop. About the longest usb extentsion is 15ft.
And Yes, even the Arlo's were modded ( search the older threads ) to run on ac power in the past .
Also, don't forget , the SW will limit the recording time to a max of 30 mins ...this is to preserve batteries if left on.
Morse is faster than texting!
