I have spent weeks trying everything to get my Arlo Pro to work. It works for an hour and then permanatly goes off line. After moving it, recharging it, removing it from the device list and re-entering it i finally sent it back to Arlo and they replaced the camera. When i added the new Arlo Pro i noticed it updated and downloaded the newest firmware. Once i did this i reinstalled the camera in the exact same location that the camera that was not working was. The new camera is working perfectly. It has not gone off line once and gives me excellent picture and sound.

If you are running in to an issue with your camera going off line i would suggest trying to download the newest firmware. Maybe someone at Arlo can explain how to do this. I could not figure  it out with my old camera. Without the latest update your camera will not work. It is not the battery or the location you select. If all else fails your camera may be defective. Arlo was nice and replaced my Arlo Pro and that fixed my issue.

It may have been the firmware, the camera or a combination of both.  Yes, the firmware needs to be up-to-date but the automatic updates should take care of that.

Did you track the firmware verion on both the old and new camera to see if they were different?
