I was going to take advantage of the 75% subscription discount for the 12 months and then take that time to decide if I will be keeping the system.

Now that the 7 days recording is not being taken away, if I sign up with the discount and then cancel after 12 months, will I then still have the 7 day recording free?

I have had the subscription previously at our other home and like the added features for the pros especially since it adds animal, vehicle and people detection. I have 3 pros and two pro2s.

The free 7 day plan for older cameras will still allow cloud recordings regardless of subscription status. You will miss out on any features the sub supplies so Smart won't work on the old ones.
