Hello

I'm considering buying either an Arlo or Arlo Pro system as I'm looking for a battery-powered, wifi, cctv system which is stored on the cloud and records only when it detects something.

I have one, possibly-stupid, question which I couldnt find an answer to: do the systems have a simple on/off switch which you could press similar to how you turn your burglar alarm on when you go out? The reason for asking is simply that if not then presumably the caremas will be recording my wife/kids each going in and out of the back door dozens of times per day and eat through the batteries.

Thanks

Adam

The cameras are "armed" by either the PC/ browser access or in the iOS/ Andoid apps.

It a simple two - three button presses ; login- mode- arm

When armed, the cameras will record when they detect motion for up to 2 mins( adjustable), then reset for the next trigger.

You can also have them armed via schedule.

When not armed they are basically off and use almost no battery power
