I purchased a 3 pack security system a while back and love it. A little less than a year ago I purchased the wireless doorbell app and that works great also, but now one of my cameras stopped working indicating “this device is inactive, a paid subscription is required to activate this device.” Is this correct?

Assuming you have Pro 1 or 2 cameras you don't need a subscription for 3 cameras. The doorbell does require one - a single camera sub is sufficient. What subscription do you currently have?

I have pro 1. I don’t currently have a subscription.

The doorbell requires a sub for cloud recordings - you don't have one? 

 

Try removing that one camera and reinstall it to see if that helps.

I removed the device and now I am unable to install it. It’s not identifying it after I hit the sync button.
